As a stained glass artist and printmaker, I am interested in emphasizing bright colors and unique shapes in order to take on topics such as childhood grief, nostalgia, and how growing up in the Midwest has shaped my worldview. When working in stained glass, I often buy my materials second hand to introduce unique glass types I would not have had otherwise chosen in a store. I work carefully across all my mediums, every aspect is well thought-out and planned ahead of time. I intentionally make my art eye-catching, and I love to work with light so the work has an effect beyond its physical space.
